TRADITION AND INNOVATION - Auguste PEUREUX his Distillery in 1864 to Fougerolles, at the foot of Vosges. The Distillery specializes in the production of brandies of fruits, among which the famous kirsch of Fougerolles, the brandies which will quickly benefit from a big reputation and will so be noticed in the World Fair in Paris in 1900. André, son of Auguste, succeeds him. Then, Claude PEUREUX resumes the fate of the company in 1948 by attempting to protect the big traditions from Franche-Comté of elaboration of brandies and liqueurs the know-how of which he immortalizes. In 1950, the technological searches are centred on the food-processing industry, and more particularly the special products for professionals of catering trade.
Claude PEUREUX throws in 1955 Morello cherries for chocolate makers, then GRIOTTINES ® in the 1980s, wild Morello cherries wallowed in a light syrup in the Kirsch, the speciality today all over the world recognized.
